Marcia DeAngelis, Independent Travel Advisor with Fora Travel
By choosing to work with Marcia DeAngelis to plan your travel, you signify your agreement to the following terms and conditions:
Authorization
You authorize Marcia DeAngelis, an independent affiliate of Fora Travel Inc., to make bookings on your behalf. This includes flights, accommodations, cruises, ground transportation, and other travel services.
Travel Documents
You agree to review all travel documents and itineraries for accuracy and notify Marcia promptly of any issues. Names on all documents must match your government-issued ID exactly.
Agent for Suppliers
Marcia DeAngelis acts as a sales agent for any airline, hotel, car rental company, tour operator, cruise line, or other service provider named in your itinerary or confirmation (“Suppliers”). You agree to adhere to each Supplier’s current instructions, rules, regulations, requirements, conditions of sale or carriage, tariffs, and procedures. Marcia does not control these Suppliers and is not responsible for their acts, omissions, schedule changes, services, failure to honor future travel credits, or financial insolvency.
Marcia has no special knowledge of the financial condition of Suppliers and assumes no liability for any Supplier offering a trip credit in lieu of a refund. Marcia also assumes no responsibility for Supplier violations or changes. You agree that all information related to Supplier services will be conveyed accurately to you, but ultimate responsibility lies with the Supplier.
Booking Changes
The terms and conditions of the Supplier will apply to all bookings made by Marcia DeAngelis on your behalf, including those relating to cancellations, modifications, and refunds. You are liable for any additional fees that may be incurred if you request changes to bookings, including changes of name, date, or destination.
Risks of Travel and Release
You accept all risks associated with travel, including but not limited to illness, injury, delays, weather disruptions, acts of God, strikes, civil unrest, or political instability. Marcia DeAngelis has no special knowledge of health or safety risks and makes no guarantees regarding travel conditions. It is your responsibility to stay informed of the risks and conditions related to your travel destinations.
You are strongly encouraged to review the U.S. Department of State’s travel advisories at travel.state.gov, where you can access up-to-date information about safety, entry requirements, political conditions, and other important considerations.
By proceeding with your travel plans, you acknowledge and assume these risks and release Marcia DeAngelis from any liability for damages, claims, losses, or injuries that may occur in connection with your travel. You agree that any claims must be directed to the Supplier and not to Marcia DeAngelis.
Entry & Re-entry Requirements
You are responsible for securing passports, visas, entry documents, vaccinations, and complying with all travel requirements for your destination. Many countries require passports to be valid for six months beyond your date of return.
Local entry rules are subject to change without notice. You are advised to consult the U.S. Department of State website for the latest requirements and updates specific to your destination.
Planning Fees & Price Changes
Planning fees charged by Marcia DeAngelis are non-refundable. If a Supplier lowers the price after booking, Marcia will attempt to help rebook if allowed—but this is not guaranteed and may involve additional fees.
Pricing Increases
You consent to any price increases by Suppliers after purchase and authorize your credit/debit card to be charged. Airline and cruise fare increases, fuel surcharges, and taxes may apply.
Flight Booking Policies
Marcia can only issue premium economy, business, or first-class flights originating in the U.S. A $50 per ticket issuance fee applies. 24/7 emergency support for ticket changes or cancellations is included.
Prohibited Ticketing Practices
You agree not to use flight segments deceptively (e.g., “hidden-city” or “skiplagging”). Doing so may result in canceled reservations, penalties, or voided frequent flyer points. You are liable for any related costs.
Accommodation Policies
You agree to follow all rules at hotels or properties booked on your behalf. You are responsible for charges arising from noise violations, smoking fees, or damages.
Credit Card Authorization
It is strongly recommended that you use a credit card for all travel purchases, as this may provide you with protections under the Fair Credit Billing Act in the event of a dispute or supplier failure. By authorizing payment, you acknowledge that Marcia DeAngelis acts solely as a facilitator of payments to travel Suppliers and is not the merchant of record.
Any disputes, chargebacks, or refund requests must be directed to the Supplier directly. You agree not to initiate a chargeback against Marcia DeAngelis for any Supplier-related issue, including but not limited to cancellations, delays, dissatisfaction with services, or failure of the Supplier to deliver services.
Claims & Disputes
You must present any claims to Marcia within 30 days of trip completion and file any legal action within one year of travel. This shortens the applicable statute of limitations.
Insurance
You are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance to protect yourself and your travel investment against the unexpected. Travel insurance can help cover costs related to trip delays, cancellations, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. Marcia is happy to generate a quick quote for your review.
Please note that Marcia DeAngelis is not a licensed insurance agent and cannot guarantee coverage or outcomes of any claims. It is your responsibility to review the policy terms and conditions carefully and ensure the coverage meets your needs.
Bundled Pricing
Some proposals may include bundled pricing from preferred suppliers that do not itemize individual costs. This allows for access to special contracted rates. By agreeing to receive a proposal, you accept that some services may be offered as a package.
